Spain 1985 -
Passion, creativity and conceptual vision blended with the technical aspects that guide a project from inception, I approach lighting design with a focus on the natural human response. I believe that lighting must consist of layers that merge natural and electric components with the architecture.
As an intern in Madrid and Rome, I experienced a wide range of projects leading him to the lighting design industry. I hold a Masters of Fine Arts in Lighting Design from Parsons the New School for Design. Through my studies I realized the importance of lighting not only in design but in human health. Upon graduating I worked as a Lighting Designer in New York City on a diverse portfolio of award-winning projects across the corporate and hospitality industry.
I joined Banks Landl Lighting Design in 2017 and I work on a wide range of projects with a primary focus on high end residential. I am highly organized with an emphasis on the collaborative process, I bring a high level of experience and expertise to the BLLD team. When not working, I love proving that Spanish food (or anything regarding Spain) is simply the best.
“A good lighting integration with architecture is only accomplished when light is not being noticed as a source but as an effect.”
